To mark this year's 60th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty, the bilateral friendship will be celebrated with an anniversary concert in Paris with the "Orchestre franco-allemand Démos" set to perform in Panthéon on Sunday, 22nd January 2023 from 6.30pm.

Under the direction of Anna-Sophie Brüning, the orchestra will interpret works by emblematic composers from both countries: Lully, Rameau, Beethoven, Brahms, Offenbach and Saint-Saëns.

The concert, initiated by the Franco-German Youth Office DFJW, brings together 70 musicians aged 10 to 17. Musicians were selected via Hangarmusik and the Al-Farabi Music Academy in Berlin on the German side, and via the Paris Philharmonic as part of the music education programme Démos on the French side.

Watch this event live via ARTEConcert or Philharmonie Live, on Sunday 22nd January from 6.30pm.
