Our societies need culture now more than ever before and, as normal cultural activities remain indefinitely postponed, we're pleased to have been able to get behind a 78-organisation European campaign to urge the EU & its member states to protect Europe's creative and cultural sectors.
Alone full time jobs in these sectors account for 12 million workers in the EU and the impact of our activities is felt by many, many more, yet cultural institutions and creative enterprises currently find themselves in danger of partial collapse. We, therefore, call on commissioners, ministers and MEPs to support Europe's creators and to ensure that our arts, culture and heritage and the values they promote can be preserved and enjoyed, both throughout and beyond the COVID-19 crisis.
