On the occasion of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 January to 30 June 2022, the Philharmonie de Paris brought together an orchestra of 120 young musicians, aged 12 to 17, from the 27 countries of the EU Member States, who had benefited from cultural democratisation projects similar to the Demos children's orchestras.

After working on the concert programme in their respective countries, the young musicians met for the first time at the Philharmonie de Paris from 19 to 26 February 2022, where they followed an intense rehearsal schedule. They were coached by professional musicians and led by conductors Corinna Niemeyer and Aurélien Azan Zielinski. The week ended with a concert in the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez, in the presence of representatives of the EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Parliament.
