Sistema Cyprus are back to rehearsals after forced hiatus that start in November 2020. Their upcoming concert performance will be held on December 12th in Nicosia Municipal Theatre, part of the project M.U.S.E.: Music Unites through Social Equity, which is co-funded by the Preparatory Action "Music Moves Europe" by the European Union. The concert will bring together 300 children from various schools from the centre of Nicosia that will sing with the Sistema Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.
In addition, through the same project Sistema Cyprus have developed toolkits on Community Music, Upcycling Music Band, Songwriting, Creative Music Technology and World Music Choir. Using informal methodologies for music education, the toolkits offer a valuable resource for professional development to teachers working with students with less opportunities, and especially students of migrant and refugee background.
