El Sistema Academy at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden

2020 marks El Sistema Sweden’s ten year anniversary and the year will be kick-started with the El Sistema Academy 2020 in January. El Sistema Sweden invites you to be part of the celebrations and to join them for this special, three-day symposium!

The EL Sistema Academy has taken place at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm since 2017. Over the course of three days, the college is transformed into an international platform of learning and dialogue, as around 100 music teachers meet up to learn more about and to get inspired by the El Sistema teaching method from Venezuela.

ESA 2020 will host workshops and talks by educators from all over the world and allow for the exchange of experiences of El Sistema as an educational approach, with discussions on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Sistema core skills
  • eurhythmics
  • conducting children's orchestras
  • Manos Blancas choirs (for non-verbal participation in singing)
  • music didactics for children's orchestras
  • connecting with other organisations
  • strategies for inclusion
  • and much more!

Conference fee:

3550 SEK * (plus 25 % VAT) for all three days, with a personally curated schedule.

Meals:

Meals are not included in the conference price, but can be added for an additional 1150 SEK ꭛ (covers two dinners, one lunch and coffee/tea).
