It has been fruitful autumn for Superar Slovakia! After almost a year of closed schools and online music lessons, live performances were greatly enjoyed as well as wonderful cooperation with international partners, and further development of Superar's very own music education methodology. "It is so good to feel like a real Superar again," says Zuzana Jasenková on behalf of the Sistema Europe member.

"The absolute highlight was the recording with the Vienna Boys Choir. The song their recorded “We Want to Sing Together” by prof. Gerald Wirth, the president and artistic director of the Vienna Boys choir, is now one of the most beloved songs in our repertoire. It was such a pleasant and enriching experience for the children and the Superar team as well. On their way to Vienna, the children from the Vagač Elementary School in Detva stopped in Bratislava for the first live Superar performance in the capital in 2021. The International Women´s Club in Bratislava invited us to be a part of the Charity Flash Mob Event. We loved to find out that the fundraising goal for this event was reached."

Moreover, serious things are going on in the classroom. Thanks to the cooperation with El Sistema Greece, The House of Good Tones Srebrenica, and The Wirth Music Academy within the Songs for Europe project, Sistema Superar are not only engaged in the exchange of expertise, experience, and inspiration in music education, but they are also testing a new gadget called SMART. It is meant to help the teachers improve their level of teaching by measuring the level of concentration of children in the classroom during the music teaching process.

Meanwhile, head methodologist Tomáš Boroš is working on his next methodological publication. Simultaneously, this music education methodology is tested in classrooms by Superar teachers. The response of children is great, making music education more creative, holistic, and profound, but executed with ease for both teachers and students.
