Closing Remarks
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is a cornerstone for the Child Policies of the European Union.
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is a human rights treaty which sets out the civil, political, economic, social, health and cultural rights of children. All Members States of the European Union have signed the treaty and it has become a corner stone of the children policies of both the Member States and the Institutions of the European Union. For this reason the European Parliament celebrated in a big way the Thirtieth Anniversary of the CRC on 20 November 2019. The Chairman of the event was MEP David Sassoli, President of the European Parliament and the Guest of Honour was Queen Mathilde of Belgium.
