Nikoletta Polydorou is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Sistema Cyprus, a social-music programme that provides free orchestral music education to children and young people, including migrants and refugees. Since its establishment in 2017, Sistema Cyprus has engaged over 500 children and given international visibility to Cyprus through collaborations across Europe, the USA, South America, South Africa, and beyond.
Nikoletta holds a PhD in Education and defines herself as an “Artivist,” bridging culture, education, and social change. She has represented Cyprus in major international exchanges and policy discussions, including being selected in 2025 by SALTO Youth to participate in the focus group for the monitoring and evaluation of the new Inclusion & Diversity Strategy for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (2028–2034).
In recognition of her impactful work, Nikoletta received the Commonwealth Points of Light Award from Queen Elizabeth II, honouring her exceptional contribution to the community through music and education.
