Djurdja Papazoglu is a graduate of Belgrade’s University of Arts, where she studied piano performance in the Faculty of Music. After university, Djurdja continued her studies with Elena Grechnikova in Moscow and worked as an assistant teacher and accompanist with Boris Pevzner's Moscow Choral Theatre. Besides organising concerts in Russia (for example, at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Moscow Philharmonic) and in Germany, Ms. Papazoglu also released two CDs during her time with the Choral Theatre.

Upon her return to Serbia, Djurdja started her teaching career. At the same time (in 2010), she founded the Music Art Project Association (MAP), which promotes cultural cooperation between artists and society. Paving the way for El Sistema in Serbia, Djurdja started to include children from different social groups in MAP’s work in 2014 and, later that same year, MAP signed a Letter of Intent with the Fundación Musical Simón Bolívar, formalising the association's position within the global El Sistema network.

Djurdja Papazoglu was also the executive project manager of the successful 2-year Orchestras and Choirs of Hope project, funded by the EU Delegation in Serbia, the Swiss Development Agency and the Government of Serbia. This project helped build partnerships with relevant government bodies (The Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and The Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit of the Government of the Republic of Serbia) and its contribution to the spheres of education, human rights, minorities, poverty reduction and heritage preservation was recognised at the national level by the Ministry of Education and the Commission of the Republic of Serbia for UNESCO.

Djurdja has also worked with many renowned musicians, including Marijana Mijanovic, Francisco Pacho Flores, Luis Gonzalez, Pavel Nersessian, Roustem Saitkulov and Elena Grechnikova – all of whom are now regular lecturers and associates of MAP.

Nowadays, Djurdja aims to continue providing opportunities for young musicians in Serbia and to improve their education through the provision of master classes by artists from around the world. Her vision is to create a cultural environment in which musicians from Serbia will continue to provide an inspiration for the people around them.
