MusicEnsemble is a children's orchestra led by the Conservatoire de musique de Genève, which takes on children from the age of seven at two locations in Geneva (Meyrin & Vernier).
The conservatoire sees its children's orchestra as a centre of learning and friendship and a vessel through which to channel the pedagogical approaches of El Sistema in a Swiss context.
Children participating in MusicEnsemble choose their own instruments and then look to come to grips with these within the orchestra, listening and learning together in an environment of mutual engagement and shared emotions.
