Musica e Società is a second-level association whose aim is to represent different experiences who in various parts of Italy teach music inspired by the principles of El Sistema venezuelano.
It was established in January 2020, with about fifteen founding members including the School of Music of Fiesole, after a long confrontation between associations, institutions, musicians and teachers interested in inclusive music.
We believe that the ensemble music, through choral and orchestral experiences, is an instrument of human promotion, social inclusion and cultural renewal and must therefore be a right to be guaranteed to all, starting from those who live in discomfort and/or disability.
One of the objectives of the association is to promote the culture and the practice of ensemble music, considering the inseparability between the musical and social purpose.
We also want to keep alive the information exchange, studies and reflections on the issues of music education in an inclusive perspective, creating links between entities pursuing the same objectives also by organizing conferences, training courses and moments of comparison at national and international level.
